Countryside Greenhouse produces a wide variety of annuals in small pots. These pots are perfect for planting in the yard, or for making up your own specialty containers and hanging baskets. In these pots you will find the same basic annuals that we produce in our 36 count flats of flowering annuals, plus a whole lot more.
Small potted annuals consist of three different size containers. The four inch pots contain items that are generally smaller plants, or quick to flower. Five inch pots are utilized when a plant needs a little more room to grow before it is going to look its best, start to show color, and be ready for the direct market floor. The Deep 6.7'' (Trade Gallon) containers are used for items that require more maturity before being sellable. These containers are generally used for items that need a little more room because of their large heights, or because of their need to have a more mature root system before being sellable.
Over the last 30 years we have experimented with these items in different size containers in order to choose the ideal relationship between plant and container size to ensure customer success.
The items listed in this section are what we will be growing for the 2012 season. Due to their varying ideal outdoor planting times, greenhouse cycles, and space restrictions not all of these items will be available at the same time.
